im not really concerned with treadware. just cornering stabilibty and traction. im looking at the 205/40/17. i wanted to go 225 but i dont think they will clear on my neon R/T.

does anyone own these tires or know anyone who does? or am i better off to spend alittle money on some potenza's?

thanks

nate

They are the example of the perfect "cheap" tire. A coworker had them on his car and they are the most pathetic tire he's ever run, and that I've ever seen. If I were you, I'd get something with a bit better reputation. If you want a decent tire for a good price, go with Kuhmo. I personally run Federal on my Lebaron, and love them. The only issue I have with them is that they wear out faster than my old tires. But then again, for a step up from a "H" rated tire that has a treadwear of 400, to a "W" rated tire with a treadwear of 240; that's to be expected. And by the way, the 225/45-17's that I use only cost me $92 a peice, mounted and balanced.

Just get some good tires, kumho, avon, bf goodrich, falken, etc. Those are all pretty good tires that are safe, if you havent ever heard of people using a brand of tires, theres often a reason for that. lol

wanli tires are the Sh*t. I see these tires all the time at the shop (we fix aluminum rims) People ride on them with no air, try that with any other MAJOR NAME TIRE. If i had to relace my tires i would go with wanli. Another perfect example of a great product made in China(kicking all the highpriced tires)

This what I got for tires on my SC and hook up better then I thought they would. There bridgestone potenza that where shipped to my door for 228 using 2 day fed ex. I see now they got a mail in rebate of 100 bucks on set of four which would make them like 128 shipped to your door after rebate. I would really consider these tires at least you heard of them.

Dont get KUMHO's if you want a performance tire, all they are made for is to look agressive, and THATS IT. not sticky and suck. but like you said if you want a cheep tire that look cool then go for it.

The best tires i have found for driving on the street are the avon tech m500s, i have them on my shelby charger, and my mom has them on her car, and they work very well both on dry pavement, and in the rain.

Well, if you want excpent dry weather performance, look at the falken azenis rt-615, they wont last more than 15k miles tho. If you want a tire that will handle very well in the dry and be almost as good in the wet, look at my previous post. Bf goodrich makes some good tires too, but they are more expensive than the others i mentioned, and i dont know that they are that much better.

I had bfgs on my SC before I went to bridgestones. I was running 225 50 15 comp ta. I got them now on my sundance but like I said before a set of 4 tires from tirerack after rebate is only 128. Even without the rebate there only 228 which the same tires I'm running now. Before I could break them lose still in third when I got on it. Now they stick in second.

Toyos are pretty good, although depending on which ones youget they have pretty soft sidewalls.
