What is a good junkyard brake upgrade for a 1987 Dodge Daytona Shelby Z? there are a lot of mopars in the junkyard and one thing I was thinking is dodge stealth brakes. The calipers are much larger than the ones on my daytona, and I was curious as to whether they would bolt on or be an easy modification. Do you think I would need the whole wheel hub? I already have discs on all 4 wheels.

Not something that I need, but I am going to be at the junkyard on saturday, and have a $40 credit, so I am thinking I should be able to get at least 2 of the hubs, and spend a lil more for the other 2. I donno if it will work, but im thinking of trying it.

Let me know what you think.

Buy new pads, new rotors, new brake lines and flush the system.

Keep the junkyard brake stuff at junkyard.

well, they would get new pads and rotors, but I would be getting the mounts and other hardware from the junkyard in order to upgrade the brakes. Im just looking into potentially less expensive alternatives.

SLH Brake Upgrade Packages

The 11" setup would be the best. Of course, just getting the mounting hardware from the yard, and running it with new MC, rotors and pads.

Do a search here there are many threads on updating brakes and suspension. I believe you have stamped lower arms. Cast arms can be swapped when you do the brake upgrade.

ok, I did a search and really couldnt find much for what I can get out of a Junkyard. I know you guys are all saying that I should just buy all new hardware, but Id like to see what I can find in the junkyards.

If anyone can recall a thread right off the bat that relates to this I would like to see, I wasnt able to find anything so far.
