I have a 89 shelby daytona i picked up that i was going to fix, well due to rust and money im parting it out. i went to go take the wheels off of it and it has what looks to be stock locking lugnuts, one on each wheel. they are round with the key that goes in them, i have tried differant things but i cant get them off, would someone have any ideas, i only have basic tools, so no welding. or better yet would someone have a key that would work i could buy for cheap or even just borrow?

Snap on makes a tool just for that. its a wheel lock removal kit that works for several styles of locks. atd prolly makes a cheaper knock off. check a local parts store they can get it. (not a snap onn though)

There are also kits that will work on the locks and rounded lug nuts, look for the combo kit. These removers have a left hand thread that will attach itself to a non-hardened lock and quickly remove it.
This kits will not work on the round, hardened locks so you would need the kit that hammers on for these.
tooltopia.com has a set for $40.00.

old trick, most places use it. socket that fits the bulb of the lock and an impact gum. buzz them right off. take the car to get brakes done, tell them you dont have the key, let them brake them and then tell them you changed your mind about the price

I got the same thing as in the harborfreight link from Princess auto for $6
As long as it's the cheap style locking nut it works good.
My Porsche had a different style where the exterior of the locking nut could spin freely, that was a PIA to get off. Had to slice a groove and use an impact driver.

Done yet? If not try a 12 point socket that doesnt exactly fit over the lug then hammer it on and use ratchet with cheater bar .. Note * the socket will most definetly be destroyed..

if you can hit the lock with a hammer on opposite sides back and forth the twist off with vise grips this has never failed me.
