90 tona swaybar to 93 tona ??

i got a 90 shelby big front sway bar in a swap and was considering swaping it into my 93 iroc v6 daytona. i know the lower control arms in my 93 are diff but can i swap the sway bars? thanks

No,they are slightly different. You will either have to use 89-90 A-arms and spindles or a 91+ sway bar in your 93.

you should be able to "tweak" it if needed. cliff ramsdell put a big bar with the 91+ k frame setup on his T3 wagon a few years back!

hmmmm it looks lie either the frame bushings would need trimming or the ends bent just a bit as its about a 1in off. are there any pics of Cliff's setup?

Thats what I thought when I tried that years back. you would have to put the bar in a press and bend it slightly and then get sleeves put on the ends as the 89-90 bar is only 1" on the ends and the 91+ is 1 1/8

hmmm so i'm figring i'ld have to swap over to the stamped lower control arms and probably the 90 style crossmember as well.

its smaller than the 90 shelby bt the ends of the shelby bar are smaller than the ends of the 93 iroc bar.

Iroc should have had the heaviest duty suspension along with the Iroc R/T, i dont know the mm but someone should have that info

im curious. on the polybushings web site they talk about grinding the ends flat then drilling to use conventional sway bar end links. could i do this with the shelby bar?
