my omnis plans

here are my plans for my new omni...
for the front im using the stock struts (there in great condition) and clipping my turbo van springs to put in the omni struts and lower the front by about 2"
then i have a CS sway bar to go in, and maby polly bushings down the road.
for the back... (i dont wana hear nay-saying till i see if this works) im taking out the rear struts and springs and replacing them with brand new steering dampers from a 4x4 (that bolt right in, in place of the struts), then ill stick a jack under it, jack it up to where i want it to sit, and weld up mounts on the axle to frame for the coil over short shocks i have from the back end of a jag.
then ill work in my vans 1" rear sway bar that i made for the van back in the day. oh ya, strut braces front and back as well. all in all, it should be preaty retaded! nice and solid. not the best way to it i know, but why not if i can use all existing parts instead of spending hundreds on "soon to be out of stock" koni stuff.

pulled the struts and there not as good as they seemd, so im replacing them with new stockers, and i clipped my vans springs to go in them nice and low. also put in an 87 CS sway bar to replace the 3/4" joke of a sway bar that was in there! ha ha ha!

i made and installed my rear "struts" and lowerd the car 4" all the way around. the rear end is AMAZINGLY solid. so solid that i dont even need to install my rear sway bar.
my rear struts are steering dampers with the lower spring perch of the old omni struts on them, the origional un cut springs on them, then bolted right in. the front is lowerd with new stock struts and clipped van springs, allong with a CS sway bar.
as hard as i try to rock the car side to side, i can barely move it 1 inch, and i can barely bounce it by jumping on the bumpers!! i havet driven it yet cause there about 5" of snow out side, but ill let you know how it handles when i do.

ok, since i installed the new front struts and must not have the cam bolts lined back up as they were 100%, the car likes to slightly pull to the right if i let go of the wheel (steight as an arrow before) so without having to go get an alignmet (perferably), anyone have any tips on what way i should turn my cam bolt/s and on what side to make it true again? or maby ill just have to drive it, turn it, drive it, turn it, and test it like that. =(

i dont have any advice for you on steering, but my opinion on lowering a car--(sweet) but definately messes with the geometry of the front wheels, should get it aligned.
