i had a lowrider minitruck that got scrapped. any thoughts on putting hydraulics on a daytona 89 turbo with real knock off 13" spoke rims. the setup i would use is most likely 2 pumps and 12 inchs in the back and i think the fronts would be 6" ill only use the main battery cause i wont hop it just lift it. just wondering if anyone has a thought or two or has seen this done before?

I think putting hydros on a non-full frame car is a BAD idea #1. #2, this has pretty much gone by-the-way side for stuff to do to cars, so...WHY? #3 they are DANGEROUS for a street car. You have NO dampening of the springs and the car simply bounces all over the place. In an emergency situation this is BAD. I knew a guy that had them on his car...went over some RR tracks that had a steep incline and a stop sign right after...he found that he couldn't stop the car becasue it was bouncing too much. He took them off the next day!

Moral of the story...hydros=BAD(not in a good way)...

If you want variable height suspension look at airbags. They do make them that fit these cars....

not my style, but do what you want. Airbags are a better idea though.

I would ebay the kit and buy airbags if you really want to drive it.

I wasn't laughing at airbags. I think they are a very good and viable solution to what this person wants...
