Well, this is bothersome as I just bought a set for my GTC. Mine is the 1 1/4" bar with 1 1/16" endlinks.

Did you what size endlinks did you tell Johnny you had?

I would just use some washers. Also, would there be anything wrong with shaving it.

I am looking for gray interior trim for a J-body (1987-1989) LeBaron coupe hardtop. If you have anything please PM me before throwing it out. I am also selling tan trim if you're interested.

GREAT PICS TRYINGBE!

I just found a pic of Johnny's bar with his bushings when I was trying it in my car. Not the best pic, but you can see that this is the way the bushings are supposed to go in with the rib to the front of the car and you can see the gap I was going to have to run (with spacers of course) to get the bar to rotate freely. 100_0405

I like my ES d-shaped brackets much better.

Man, I swapped to a PB 1.25" bar on a '91 K-frame with cast A-arms a few years ago. I don't remember having this problem at all!!!

I had to notch out the slots on the ends (easy) cause they're a hair to short overall, and then got some metal stock from Lowe's or Homie Depot and cut to length and holes drilled in the right spots and bolted them up. Think it's 3/16th's thick. The thicker the better. I've seen them start to bend if too thin.

For K-frame, years make a huge difference.

I could since mine just arrived the other day, thanks a ton! However, I won't be able to get the stock ones off until Spring.

well if it's anything like it is here there's no way. We have over a foot of snow on the ground, there's 4ft around my shop where it slides off the metal roof and piles up on the side. It's so slick going up the slight incline to get out of the back yard and through the fence I got my g/f's liberty stuck in 4wd Lo for a little bit. Course the tires are down to the wear bars on it but still. No spring around here for a while. I predict that the Groundhog will see his shadow and it'll be another 6wks of winter.

Yep, there's over a foot of snow on the GTC right now. Even if it were the right weather I won't be able to do any car work for about a month.
