1991 Spirit R/T front and rear

I have a 91 spirit r/t and I need to get the handling setup. I just want to gain more control, it is running on the original suspension. The car seems to bob up and down, especially when you nail it, the front end comes up, of coarse the wheels ignite etc. I have seen on the fwd site there is a Koni setup, but I am not sure what to order. At this point the front and rear need to be replaced. Just looking for some recommendations. The car is not a daily driver and it is in really good shape.

Just do your basic lower it, (lower center of gravity) their @ fwd performance get some springs (eibach preferably) If you can still get a set get the koni's shocks and struts
(if you dont want to spend the money get KYB Gr-2) polybushings and a sway bar. That will definantly stiffen up you suspension. What do you have currently on your car ?

The koni's dont exist for non-vans anymore.
Never put gr-2's on the rear. kyb Gas-a-just in the back (not adjustable but stiffer then gr-2)

Our front strut selection sucks because koni doesnt exist for us anymore and companies like KYB only make their crappy level of struts for us. Would be awesome if we had gas-a-just struts or even better ones (their adjustables) available.


Mopar performance has some struts/shocks availiable and a few people on this site are trying out the "performance" version of their shock/strut line.

I bought the car from Robert lived in Tampa,(I have forgotten his last name), but he had the motor done and it is strong. I just got the guages put in boost, oil temp, egt so I can watch things. I was given 'verbally' what was in it, but I didnt write it down. Although i do remember a 56 trim wheel (duh), I also notice the boost guage goes well over 18, when I nail it. He did mention a certain stage from fwdperformance either 2 or 3. I have a vw r32 as a daily driver, used to own an EVO as well. This thing will beat them both, at least in the 1/4. I just replaced the radiator from fwdperformance. I just want to make it feel new, it kind of bounces right now - bobs up and down. It is kind of funny, if you are cruising along at 30 in second and nail it, the front tires will break loose and she will scream then hook up and go. It feels uncontrollable sometimes with the front doing its things. Just want to feel like I have more control. I have left Cindy at fwd an IM, so I was going to wait and get her thoughts on my next step as well.
