Has anyone tried the LRE l-body lowering springs? They sound a lot like the mopar autocross springs. Anyone have pics of them on a shelby charger?

The LRE are a lot stiffer than the old Mopar Autocross springs. The 1'' drop is perfect for the street, not too low but still looks great!

Are they a good spring for the street or are they TOO stiff? Whats a good spring rate for an aggressive DD?

FWDperformance.com has the adjustible Koni coil overs with adjustible Eibach coils in one kit. Buy all the poly for the car, engine and suspension. I like the 1 1/8" front bar and 1" rear bar. I am cutting down a twin tube DC strut brace for the rear of an SRT 4 and using it in the front of my GLHS. The rear is a swing arm suspenion, so unlike most imports the TDs don't need a rear bar. Alignment is huge. I like 1 negitive up front with zero toe and poly bushings. In the back I like .5 negitive and 1/16 toe in. Alignment shops will destroy your handling by adding positive camber, you have to find some one to align the car to your specs. Not what there POS computer says to do. With positive front camber and negitive rear camber the cars under steer bad or plow straight in a corner.

you can't buy konis to use the LRE springs now, so the car could bound and bounce with them and GR2s

Go to www.dempseybowling.com
navigate to the SLH brake package page, everything you need is listed. KYB GR-2 struts & shocks are the best, next to coil-overs. Summit Racing - High Performance Car and Truck Parts | 800-230-3030 is the cheapest I've found. Auto Parts Fair - Online catalog of 60,000+ auto parts, engine parts, service parts and repair parts for domestic and import automobiles at wholesale price has a decent price, too.

OMG no, do not read dempseys page. A freind of mine wrapped his L body around a mail box (concrete) by running too big of a rear brake and not enough front. You DO NOT stick 11.44" vented rear disks on a L body or any other TD without using the 11" fronts, period. Want to learn about the SLH packages go to boostedmopar forum and look it up.

GR2s are best for a performance street that won't beat you up. I run them on my wagon, a Masi TC and a mini van.

Sensatrac how ever you spell that lol, they are junk like putting on wasted shocks and they don't last. But are the softest you'll get with some control.

The full Koni coil overs from FWDperformance.com, they have GR2s as well. Dempseys page is about 10 years old and was real nice back them. But is out dated and the SLH section isn't that safe. I actually met Dempsey in Vegas during Mopars at the Strip. Real nice guy, loaned me a granger valve for a tire dyno run. But my $60 pick in pull engine on 3 pistons and 14 PSI of boost didn't want to make over 214 WHP and 264 ft lbs lol. dempsey did pretty well drag racing his van that week end. My GLHS made it to pg 76 of the Jan 04 Mopar Muscle mag in the dyno section. in the mag on the MP stage 2 computer controlling boost to 13. The GLHS had 76 PSI compression in one hole. 204 WHP at 4,400 RPM I think Dempsey won the $250 for FWD class.

Minivan calipers with bendix pads and 89+ 10 inch disc brakes works perfect for my GLH.

After Koni disconnected, I guess GR2 is the next best thing.
GR2 was ok for smoothness, but horrible for performance compare to my Koni in my Daytona.

In a stock GLHS with mini fronts you get some nose dive. Picks up the rear end too much coming into corners. The rear disks let the car come into a corner more flat. SLH 1 is basically turbo level of brakes. SLH 2 should be mini fronts and bigger drums. SLH 3 should be mini van fronts and 10" solid 89-up rear disks. SLH 4 is 4 wheel vented 11" brakes like on my GLHS. I know that much of the braking is on the nose. But weight transfer has a ton to do with it. When you have rear disks they are hooked to a swing arm that compresses the suspension under hard braking. So the rear of the car sits down, removing weight transfer and the rear tires are doing more. Not to mention your not entering a corner with the butt of the car in the sky.

I hadn't looked into it that much, I found it probably about 6-7 years ago and hadn't read it since.

Just because he has one bit of information wrong doesn't mean someone shouldn't read his page.

Now that I've been scolded like a 2nd grader, I shall proceed to sit in the corner, all alone, sucking my thumb and sobbing loudly.

So there aren't any affordable decent struts anymore? I'm getting eibachs all around and gas-a-just on the back. All I need is a decent pair of struts but it seems nobody makes any good ones anymore hehe
