90 daytona es 2.5 turbo

dynoed it at 248whp / 300 wtq

rapid shifting at WOT from 1st to 2nd almost never makes any audible noise.

feels like 2nd hooks HARD (actually very nice)

in first at WOT right after I drop the clutch from about 3k it feels like something is slipping..maybe clutch, maybe tires..whatever it is it doesnt make noise, just feels like i am momentarily driving over gravel....probably tires spinning then huh..why are they so quiet?

suspension is probably 17 years old

SO..my questions are:

if this car were new, but had these power levels, what WOULD i experience as far as wheel hopping/wheel noises/burnouts

what should i replace to optimize this car for 1/4 mile drag races?

power and torque levels will be increasing shortly to mid 300's

tires don't squeal unless they aren't spinning that fast. It usually isn't any more audible than a muffled roar.

watch your speedo it will tell you if it is spinning if it jumps, if it does not jump then probably clutch is slipping

My old sundance turbo with performance computer and open exhaust would never spin when dumped into second gear for some reason too.

kinda old thread but my 91 (doesnt have quite that power yet) does the same thing. I Know the tires are spinning when i hammer on it but i can never hear a difference. The engine itself is too loud i guess. Much louder than my 92 iroc was for some reason. Just sounds more airy... (best way i can describe it) I was assuming that the control arm bushings must have been replaced as well which would aid in the smooth wheel spin.
