That's the size wheel I was going with except I'll be running 215/40/16! That Omni really looks mean and sinister! Hope my LRE autocross springs look that good once installed on my SC! How's the ride in town and on the open highway?

Hey guys i was just on vacation thats why i haven't replied in a while. So i have been drivin on with this set up for a while now and i really like. The car rides nice and handles good. The back is set really stiff for traction but it still gives a nice ride. And yes the wheels are unidirectional but the dumbass who mounted them put them on backwards, after i layed them all out and told him exactly which way to mount them. But they still look good i think, maybe on my next set of tires i will try them the right way. Thanks for all the comments

Good to hear you like the Koni's, I've been looking at getting a set and have been wondering how they feel for daily driving purposes. Good looking Omni too!

Yeah the suspension is definantly worth it if you are willing to pay. The dampening is adjustable, but i on omni's if you set it to soft in the back its really bouncy. As you adjust it harder it gets less bouncy but more stiff, so you would have to find a happy medium for a nice ride but personally the stiffest setting feels fine. our cars aren't cadillacs lol

Do you know what the springs rates are for the Eibachs you're running? Have you considered trying a spring with a slightly higher/more progressive spring-rate to make the daily ride more comfortable? Or is it good enough as is? Just curious.

I believe the rates are 275/225. Cindy sent us the ones that would be best for street driving. I don't really know much about spring rates and how they effect the ride and handling. I'm fine with the way it rides, but a am curious what spring rates makes these cars handle best. I am wanting to start road course racing this car.

From the factory, springs are designed to work in conjunction with the damper/strut/shock. Those Eibachs were designed with your Omni's factory strut in mind, but since you are riding on the Koni's, the equation is a little different. From what I've heard, Koni's have a huge range of adjustability, so you can run a fairly stiff spring and not impact the ride quality too much. 275 is a good spring rate for the Koni's, but I think you are experiencing a bouncy ride in the back because your rear springs are significantly softer. That's why you have to adjust the Koni's in the rear to be more firm because you are having to compensate for a softer spring back there. You always want the rear springs to be softer than the front springs, but if the Eibachs were closer to 275F/250R, you would have a more refined and performance-oriented suspension without sacrificing ride quality. That's the theory anyway.

If you start road racing and end up changing out your springs, I'd consider bumping up the spring rates a little more. Something like 300-325 in the front and 275-300 in the rear is what I would aim for. Just make sure you don't lower the car anymore than it already is... if you do, you could end up removing all of the suspension travel that the Koni's use to keep your ride quality nice.

Thanks a lot for the advice. I will probably end up getting some more stiff springs all round pretty soon. Yeah if i start racing it im sure i will bring it up some, atleast some cause it already rubs a little on hard turns on the street. Thanks again for the comments
