Not on a drive axle but I use anti-sieze at work and home for lube(great for brakes, wheel studs, etc.) and parts that will have to come apart again. We just recently had my head off and everything that was rusted or difficult coming apart got cleaned and anti-sieze on reassambly.
I work at a Jeep dealer and Jeeps with the NV242 transfer case had a problem with the rear driveshaft front yoke binding on the transfer case output shaft so when you stop you would feel a clunk under the car as the driveshaft would move to its rest position after you stopped, the fix is to remove the driveshaft and lube the output shaft splines and front yoke splines, I use anti-sieze, works everytime.
Lube up the splines, work the shaft back and forth to spread the anti-sieze and then recoat and assemble.
