steering gear rack ----help---

i am working on my 92ply acclaim i have both engine an trans out an since i have them out i am changing the rack it has a leak.
now the chiltons book tell you nothing about how to remove it..
while inside the engine compartment i can see there is a roll pin that looks to be holding the rack to the steering wheel is that the pin that has to be knocked out to remove the rack an if so is there any special tool that is needed an do i still have to drop the k frame to remove the the rack or can it be slid out..
please bear with me this is the first rack i have ever done...

Unbolt the four nuts that hold the steering column to the dash and pull it (steering column)out of the steering rack. The coupler should just slide out of the column.
