17x8 on a 2dr L-Body?
I tried searching the forums but came across people talking about eek bodies.

So, if you tried 17x8 on your l-body, I want to hear how it went.

What size tires you ran?
What offset/backspacing you ran?

Thanks

Only those with coilovers will be able to do that! When I measured my car (SC), it can barely fit 7" wide rims. There was a beautiful Black SC with 17x8 or 18x8 BBS web style wheels and wow it was really nice, he definitely had coilovers!

I got 17 x7 on sc now but you couldn't run any less offset than I got right now. I think it about 39mm but I had 15 x 7 with 35 that stuck out of the fender. I could some measuring to see the strut gap.

OK, I was looking at some 17's that had a 40mm offset. I was just debating 7 vs 8 in the width cause they are the same price. Are you running the factory struts or coil-overs? What size tire are you running on your 17x7's? Am I correct in assuming you don't have any rubbing issues?

I'm running 205 40 17. Stock strut with tercel coilvovers. I don't have any rubbing issues other than the transmission cover. I wouldn't try to get a 8" wide rim.

Where in america's dairyland are you?
