I just got some new slicks, just in time for Carlisle

They are the M+H 23X7.5X15 My question is, what size rime can I get away with running - width wise? I put them on some crab wheels and when I went to balance them, I noticed they were the 6 inch width. Do the tires/rims need to be within 1 inch of each other? Any personal experience?

Thanks

On a strip-only car it'll probably be O.K. if you don't go too low on the air pressure.

I ran those slicks on 6" wide wheels for years. No problems.

Make sure that the wheels fit over the R/T brakes. If your brakes have some wear on them, it will probably be fine. With newer pads, you may have a clearance issue.
