Looking to buy new struts and shocks for my Daytona. I was looking at KYB (can't afford koni's) and was thinking of buying a pair of GR-2 for the front and a pair of Gas-A-Just for the rear (is there something better for about the same price as those?)

I'm not really familiar with suspension parts so I'm asking and waiting for you guys advice

Just looked at Gabriel website. They have the Gas Ryder VST series struts and shocks for my Daytona. Are those as good or better than KYB's?

What about Monroe? Or any other brand?

Glad I asked! I thought KYB's would be better than Gabriel's or Monroe's.

Went to Monroe's site and it seems to me that the Sensa-trac would be the best.

Thanx for the advice

KYB's are good as well......I was narrowing down the choice between Gabriel/Monroe. Keep in mind that none of these brands have aggressive enough valving for MP/Eibach type springs

Nice website! some Q's for you if you don't mind:

The Moroso evacuation system , how did it attach to the engine?

How long did it take to make the exhaust? I have access to a mig welder- would you do it again v/s buying it? fairly easy? co$t?

Ported exhaust manifold- how much time? fairly straight foward? easy access into the "log"?

I have many more Q's, but I dont want to inpose. =)

Thanks.

It's attached directly on the valve cover where the pcv used to be. Don't forget to add a breather (I simply bought a "screw in" type breather that replaces the oil fill cap.

I did it in 3 hours with a couple beers . Just be careful when taking the old exhaust pipes off the car. Then, you just copy those pipes using the Hedman bends (also buy 4 feet of straight pipe at a local muffler shop). Do some little spot welds and try it on the car to see if it fits before doing full welds. I would do it again for sure. The entire exhaust (including muffler) cost me around 250$ (CDN)

Well I'm not an expert in porting jobs. I did the best I think I could do using my die grinder. Took about 2 hours (beer again )

Ok then!:

how rough was the manifold? did you find lots of bumps in it? was the main pipe easy to access? Did you polish to a mirror like shine?

I'll buy you a beer next time you come to Connecticut!

What I did is just a "gasket match" on port openings and smoothing some sharp edges inside. Also I removed the turbo stud bumps (there is 2 if I can remember...) . No mirror like shine

This is not a pro job like I said. I just "cleaned" it little that's all.
