theres a special tool to hold the shock shaft while you loosen the nut, but a good set of vice grips and a box/open wrench will work
take top nut off before loosening lower so shock isnt wobbling/spinning
soak lower bolt in PB blaster couple times, but dont be surprised if it wants to break anyways ; may need the TD wrench (oxyacetylene)
of course you will need a spring compressor to get the spring of the shock
