Question Poly Sway Bar bushings from Quikor...

Just put them on my front sway bar last night. Had to grind about 1/2" off of the 2 inside bushings to get them to go in.

I am just wondering if anyone else had to do this?

If so, what are people without access to a grinder or something supposed to do? Sit there for hours with a razorblade?

Hi Tom, when I got mine the 1-1/4" ones were 1-1/8". They were sized to fit. Put them on today, fit great.

I'm guessing if you look at your k-frame you'll see some U shaped metal brackets that have been welded to it where the inner sway bar bushings are mounted. These aren't present on all cars. My Daytona has them, and it appears as if maybe the factory ran out of the normal sway bar bushings and adapted the k-frames to take generic sway bar bushings.

As a result, the ones Quickor sells don't fit in there unless you hack quite a significant portion of the bushing off. I've got some pictures of both the bushings I got from Quickor and the ones I pulled out of the car here:
