I was looking at a Quickor front sway bar for the CSX, and was curious to know about the endlink style of the bar as opposed to the stock bushing/clamp style we have...

Am I seeing this correctly? Is there just one bolt holding the end of the bar in? I'm just curious to know what the advantages are of this over our stock setups....

I am not sure about the Quickor bars, but can vouch for the Addco bars. They are the same setup as stock and with energy susp bushings are very nice. I have installed this setup in my Daytona and SC and love the difference. The Addco bars are constant diameter vs the stock 1 1/4 and 1" ends. They are also made of better material than the stock bars. They didn't used to be, but are now.
The rear bars are a different story, they are both entirely different setups from stock. With both bars on my cars and poly bushings they handle extremely flat. It raises the bar significantly. The only problem I have found with this setup is: You can't run crappy tires and drive fast. I use only the best IMO and they have saved my @ss several times doing things I shouldn't have been doing. One place I don't skimp is on tires. My SC is light in the rear, so at the limit, the rear loses traction. With good tires you can regain it (if you are not too far over the limit) but with bad tires, I have pictures of what happens then. Not pretty. I hope this helps.
P.S. If you put on better swaybars and tires, spend the extra money on the shocks and springs like I have, it is worth it.

Well I have Koni's and Eibachs coming for the car, as well as some new tires (Yokohama AVS, any good? They're nice and cheap on tirerack.com :big grin: )

that rear swaybar is awesome...i will be putting one on my shadow as well...that will cause your car to steer more neutral...one of the best handling mods you can do.

Yeah, I plan on going through the suspension pretty thoroughly, swaybars/shocks/struts/springs, even putting some bigger rubber on the car

BTW Scott, how's the Shadow running?

I'm running one of Quickor's front swaybars on my CSX, I put it in the same time I did all the bushings in the K frame. Wholly jeebus did it ever make a difference! I think the endlink type setup is a lot sturdier than the stock type setup. Didn't take any severe mods to install either, just had to enlarge the existing holes a teeny bit.
I also got their rear axle bushings and I was suprised at how much of a difference they made for steering response.
Really nice peices, got em' all from FWD-P.

There's one bolt on each end of the swaybar that goes through the control arm. and there's two stock-type holders that go in the middle section.

Maybe I just need to see it in person, because it sounds to me like just one bolt on each end doesn't connect the A-arm to a sway bar very well But it obviously works, so I might just have to try it myself and see how it pans out.

numerous vehicles use this setup now. the endlink usually just bolts through the control arm exactly how the quickor bar does. Ive thought about getting one of those bars for some time now but there are more important things to spend my money on for the time being.
