Has anybody ever taken their sway bar off and had one of the nuts that are welded inside the k member break loose? Now I can't get to the nut to keep it from spinning. I guess I could grind of the bolt head to get it out but how am I going to get the new bolt to screw in to the k member again? I can only get my finger on the nut through a hole that is about 3/4 inch in diameter. Just enough that I can feel it turn. I'm open for suggestions on this one.

I got a new K-member from the J-yard when that happened... I used the opportunity to upgrade to cast control arms, and replace all the bushings. It took about 4-5 hours to do the swap.

take the bar out and change the bushings (if that was your reason for taking it apart) then weld the plate that hold the bar back on.

welding works.... if you're lucky you may also be able to get a nut on the top to jam agains the loose one in the k-frame to hold it while you thread the old one on (don't ask me how, but it just worked out like that on my daytona)

I had the bolt head snap off and the stud is still on there. I just welded the bracket to the frame and forget about it.
