I went to a local shop to see about getting my rear suspension parts replaced (just springs and shocks)... Car sags real bad from the weight (i was into stereo systems way before i converted the car to a turbo).. anyways im not taking out the system, so i needed something a little tougher than stock..

they suggested just regular premium gas shock and cargo springs..

anyone know how good the cargo springs are?? Im getting them put in next day off (friday 22nd) .. They said the place they are getting them from states they are for heavier payloads and vehicles equipped with a tow setup...

I hope it dont raise the rear end *too* much.. guess ill have to see.. just looking for something with a little bit higher stance in the rear that wont squat during accelleration.... hope it works.

Anyone else use these "cargo springs" ??

I don't know about other brands, but Moog Cargo coils are a progressive rate spring. A progressive rate will have coils closer together at one end of the spring than the other. This will allow you to keep a smooth ride until you increase the weight of the vehicle. Most gm's benefit from these springs. A harsh ride should NOT result from the use of these springs.
