Strut tower braces have basically two purposes (besides looking cool). The first is to allow the suspension to maintain its alignment settings during hard cornering by preventing the body from flexing. The other purpose is to transfer forces from road irregularities that would normally be absorbed by body flex to the suspension. Neither of these purposes is effected by which wheels the engine is powering.
