This may be a dumb question but what is the widest tire that can be put on a Spirit R/T, with the sock rims. I have the stock 205's on there now but want to go bigger cause it needs tires bad.

Would 225 or 235 fit without rubbing?

Has anyone used Falken tires, or heard anything about them?

Thanks

falken azeni sports are fantastic for the money, a favorite autocross tire, even good in water, except puddles.

the rest of their line is just decent from what ive heard.

anyway if the stock spirit r/t rims are 15x6.0, which i thnk they are, you really cant put anything bigger than a 215 on them. i have 215/60s on my 15x6 and they bulge a bit but handle pretty well. fyi you also cant put the 205/50r15 azeni sports on those rims because they are actually closer to 225s and have stiff sidewalls.

so, short answer, if you want bigger tires, you pretty much SHOULD get wider wheels. if you just want more straight line and stopping traction, you can get away with putting a 225/60 or 225/50 maybe on those tires if the tire shop can get them on, but they wont handle well at the limit because they will roll around on the rim.

So the 205 Azeni sports are more like a 225 and they will fit on my stock wheels. The tread patern on those tires look cool as hell.

Are there any other recomended tires or brands?
