Hey, I always read these little tid bits of info on Allpar and stuff about people using spring clamps to slightly lower or raise their cars. Where do people get them from?

I wouldn't mind evening out my car with a few of them since it sags a little in the ass. They seem cheap enough for a temporary fix until I can get some nice shiny new springs

I don't give Lordco my business up here, but where does Crappy tire have them? A special order thing or are they hidden somewhere?

Just go in and ask, I got them for my B250 as the front end was sagged, then finally bought new springs.

Do they just call them spring clamps or is there some other fancy name for them. I have to spell things out to these guys, they're a bit slow up here.
Last week I went in and asked for some RTV, the guy looked confused and repeated "our TV?" so I said "no, OUR TV!". I think he's still lost on that one

Hahaahaaha, yeah, pretty sad. I went in for APC high output bulbs. They didn't have any on the shelf so went thru the cataloque they have on the shelf. Wrote down the part #,went up to the counter for a price! An elder man asked me what I wanted with a little tude, gave him the part #, he scratched his head and proceeded to go thru the cataloque. I am arguing with him to put the # in I gave him. This went on for at least 5 mins. He finally gave in after searching the book and put my # in. Came up no stock, I said forget it and walked out. $%!%@# idiots.

There also called spring savers!!

springs savers, hehe. you can reverse the clamps and push the coils apart instead of pulling them together if you want. i guess thats what they mean by spring clamps.

might be a super cheap way to get really stiff springs. cut like 2 coils off stock springs and then spread a coil with the clamps so the ride height was still livable. thatd probly be like 3-400 lb/in springs, lol. maybe ill try it.

Anyone else have any info on these things? Does anyone know if it will improve handling at all?

My Shadow feels really top heavy in the corner, not helped at all by my bigger wheels and tires, and i wanna drop it a little.

I could just buy Eibachs, but i dont have 200 bucks too drop on springs right now, considering I dont want to drop the money on new shocks either.

So should i just give this idea a whirl?

Also, anyone know far Daytona springs will drop a Pbody?

I have no clue on the Daytona Springs, but all I know about thespring clamps really is here. Says there that it does tighten up suspension and improve handling. I wouldn't expect it to be anything special compared to eibachs, but maybe a decent band-aid until you get them???
