Ok, what size front sway bar should I have on my 91' Daytona Shelby?
Also perhaps a total listing of what cars came with what sway bars would be helpful to those looking in j-yards or like me are unsure what size they have

I believe you should have the 1 1/8" sway bar. Other cars with the same size are Spirit R/T, Shadow ES convertible, LeBaron.

Unfortunately they never put the 1 1/4" sway bars in the cars with the newer cast control arms.

^^You are correct sir, Cindy explained that to me when I ordered my bushings, it is strange that they went to a smaller sway bar vs. the older 1 1/4 for the cast arms.

They couldn't stay with the larger bar size, as there wasn't room....unless you go to an aftermarket endlink style like this......

Hey I put a 1-1/4" Shelby bar last year on my 89 TIII Shadow converted with a '91 k-frame and '91 cast A-arms.

It wasn't a perfect fit though, center (k-frame) bushings are pretty tight but it is working. 1-1/4" on a P-body is pretty fun

Hmmm... They are definately different. I think they are off by 3/4" or so when I tried it. I had considered getting a 12ton hydrolic <sp> bender and then tweaking the older bar to the shape I wanted and using end links so that it doesn't have to be quite as precise. It is definately possible and you can trace the bar on the garage floor and then compare the opposite side to the tracing to make it symetrical....

After all of this thought I decided that it wouldn't be as good as Johnny's and the bender would cost me just as much as just getting a finished bar from him. This way I know it will be perfect and I am also supporting our community.

There is no such list that I know of. the GLH, GLHS and Shelby Chargers all had a 1" front bar. All the other FWD Mopars had from 7/8, 1", 1-1/16", 1-1/8" to 1-1/4". I have not seen a pattern except the performance models having the 1-1/4" front bat "most of the time". And then the a-arm area of these 1-1/4" bars could be 1-1/16" or 1-1/8", I have seen both. AND some models have a inside bushing that is a GM style inset into a welded in bracket. You never know!!
