OK, I asked on another thread(kinda thread jacked...sorry), but didn't really get an answer. Obviously the minivan a-arms are much more sturdy than the regular car ones. As I understand it you can interchange them with car ones. This is all fine and dandy, BUT my 1989 minivan has stub-strut type a-arms. I want to upgrade to the double pivot design on the van.
What year did the vans get double pivot stamped a-arms? I'm interested in the stamped ones because I'd also like to get a set for both my Daytona and 'Baron.

The vans went directly from strut/bushing type a-arms to the cast a-arms. they didn't have a double pivot stamped a-arm.

just swap the k frame in from a 91 unit. you cant use either kind of double pivot arm into the earlier pivot/rod k frame!

I know, but I didn't want to mess with having to get the spindles too(for the van). I already have the '91-up K-frame and cast arms on the Daytona, but I ran into the whole "my wheel moved forward" thing due to the revised ball joint geometry. I have '90 11" brakes (which the whole spindle is used as the brake adapter), so I want to go back to '90 stamped arms, but I want reinforced ones(such as the minivan ones). The problem is that the minivans never got stamped double pivot arms(as per Johnny Spiva's info to me). I'm currently working on a solution to the problem...
