matt,

go with '89 turbo minivan brake calipers... they upgrade your stoppage power by 40% and bolt right on!
i'll try to find you the link...

Also, as for rear discs, I want to say from '87-'91s? came with rear discs, while the '92-'93? models such as the iroc's came with the 11" vented disc brakes

there you go my man: http://www.xmission.com/~dempsey/shelby/slhpkgs.htm

The 11" vented brakes OWN! I have 4 wheel 11" vented discs on my 85 GLHT and it stops INSTANTLY!

Brake fade, whats that?

I believe that you have to get the master cyl. from a ford truck of some sort, like a D150 model? Does that sound right?

i did the same conversion
you will need:
2 Kelsey Hayes minivan 60mm calipers (mine are from 88, but 89 will also work)
a bigger 24mm MC (like from a 4-disc tona or minivan, has a 4 stamped on top)
new brake shoes for above calipers
brake hardware kit (has the little clips you need to hold it all tight together)

that is it, everything bolts right up
i would also invest in some slotted/drilled 10.25" rotors, i see them on ebay all the time

if you need help with the little clips, you can come over and look at how mine are because they can be tricky w/o a picture

later, Justin

I believe you would also need the caliper mounts from the 88-89 minivan also.

an early 90's dynasty will give you the same parts as the 89 mini - 60mm calipers w/ 10-1/4 rotors and 24mm m/c. they are the newer dual pin setup, some of the 80's vans having the single pin k/h.

yup - easy just to unbolt the bracket from the knuckle and leave the caliper bolted up when just grabbing the parts at the j-yard!

the family style caliper setup (majority of cars) has the caliper adapter bracket as an independent unit. the 89 shelby daytona w/ 11" brakes had the caliper adapter as part of the knuckle (non-family style) like the rear discs systems are setup. thats why i want the r/t era parts 'cause they are the family style and makes it easier if you have to replace a knuckle.

they had 11" rotors before the r/t's. my 90 daytona shelby has 11" vented front and rear. they work great even on my heavy car. and matt is gay.

I have a complete brake system from my Shelby Lancer on my Omni GLH with a 24mm master cylinder. I can hardly imaging it stopping any better, but I will soon be upgrading to the 60mm Caravan calipers.

I upgraded the brakes on my SL to the 11" rotors and 60mm calipers from a '91 GTC (same as R/T brakes). My Omni got the hand-me-down original brakes from my SL, which bolted up to the Omni just fine. I had to bend the rear brake line slightly to adapt it to the SL's flexible caliper brake line and I have yet to get the e-brake to function, but I'm sure I can get it to work if I tried.
