Will an 18" by 8" wheel work on a Shadow with a 35mm offset? I don't want any rub, or *very* slight rub at full lock. But want to get some big wheels and tires in there.

You would have to run a real short sidewall tire, but it should fit. I have 17 x 8 on my Daytona, and the 245-40s are about the most I can fit. If I had 45 series tires, they would rub. I think Shadow16v has 18 x 8s on his Shadow, maybe he'll chime in.

it would stick out in front unless you modified the fenders i have 18x7.5's and they stick out a bit too much for my liking. I'm probably going to cut and flare the fender just a hair to tuck them in a bit. It should be interesting, even though i know bodywork ive never flared anything yet.

If the offset is correct they shouldn't stick out anymore than 225/50 15's on Crabs or Fiberriddes or any of the other 6.5" stock wheels. They also shoudn't rub if it's a 225 with the right size sidewall to make the overall height the same as as 225/50 15

I am running 18X8 on my Shadow with a 225-35-18 tire. Fit great with no more rubbing than a 225 on a stock wheel.

What's the point of an 8" wide rim if your only going to run 225's on it? I've stuffed 225's onto a 6" wide rim.. I'd run like 265's or bigger on 8" rims.. heh..

Ben, do you have any pictures of the wheels on the car? I'd like to see what they look like.
