i know they dont make one for a mini, but the bolt pattern for the struts and the bars from a daytona are the same right?
so i could buy a bar for a tona, cut it, extend it and bolt it right up?

I don't think the pattern is the same, but you could certainly fab the ends. I've heard that the bar for a Lexus ES series car is exactly the right size, but you'd need new brackets. It might be easier to just go ahead and fab your own though.

daytona and mini strut bolt patterns should be the same, cause people lower their minis with daytona struts.
right????

If the distance between the strut towers on a Daytona and Mini are the same, then you shouldn't have a problem. If the bolts are different (which they shouldn't) then you could just weld the strut tower bar brackets directly to the strut towers or just simply drill new holes.

A cheaper route is the neon strut tower bars which can be had for $6 on ebay.

thats what i am hoping- that the 3 bolts on a daytona tower are the same pattern as a mini so i can cut, add, and weld the bar to make it longer.

whats the deal with the neon bar? 93-98 or 99+ style?
is the bolt pattern the same as a mini? or slightly off?

On my '91 Voyager it looks like the windshield washer reservoir would get in the way of most strut tower bars...

On the neon bar, I have read that you have to redrill the plates...

The distance between the towers is also greater. I've been told that a bar for a 240SX usually has enough adjustment to make up for it though...

Not that I know of, but you will have to modify the mounts, I know that one for sure...

If you into fabbing, I used a 93 Cavalier strut bar. Cut it in the middle, got some larger square tube metal and welded that up. One of the 2 strut holes lined up, removed the unnecessary one and made 2 more. All in all, took me an hour to redo. Well worth the effort and it clears everything.
