KYB AGX struts

Hi guys,

Haven't heard any mention of these on here. Is anybody using the adjustable KYB AGX struts on their cars? I did some research and didn't find a p/n for a P-Body. I'm looking to replace the front struts on an 87 CSX, btw. I was wondering if one can be used from another make or model?

If not, has anyone used KYB GR-2s with the stock CSX springs?

Unfortunately, KYB doesn't make an AGX that fits any of our cars. GR-2s are good replacements, but the Gas-a-Justs are better.

Gas a Just shocks are much stiffer than GR-2.

I bought a set of GR-2s then I found a pair of Gas a Just in junkyard. :.(

Does KYB make a front Gas-a-just strut for the 87 CSX. I couldn't find a part number or anyone that carries one. I know FWD and a bunch of other places carry them for the rear. Might have to go with GR-2s.

i just got a new catalog last week . i tried to get a free pair from the rep. but he would not come off any, i do have GR2 on my van they are daytona struts to lower it. i like the way it rides. ALS

GR-2's are OEM repalcement struts and not performance pieces. Talk to your KYB Sales rep. Gas-A-Justs are a stiffer unit, but are only available for the rear (my 87 CSX came with them from the previous owner and they are pretty nice) The Bilstein front struts aren't too bad for a street strut. If you want true performance find a set of Monroe Formula GP's, MP's, KYB GAJ's or Koni's If you're going all out have a set of double or triple adjustable struts/shocks built for the car at about $500-2000/corner.
