It's gonna murder me to get rid of it, but life goes on.
My question is... what's involved in converting a 4-lug Neon to 5-lug? Just spindles? Entire suspension system? Not worth it? I ask because I've got a set of snowflakes with good tires that I'd use if I could. Probably won't look right, but I'll do anything to get it to handle better than it does now. I've heard they handle excellent with the right wheels. I test drove it and the car is way punchy compared to a big heavy TBI Daytona, but you can't even put the power to the ground with those 13" tires!
*OR* is the bolt pattern from the early Daytona/Laser rims the same as the 4-lug Neon?

To be honest its probably more work than its worth. You'd have to change the knuckle, hub, rotor, caliper bracket, calipers, pads, and thats just the front! The rear drum/hub has to be changed too. I'm not 100% sure but I think the base models with the 4-lug used smaller rear brakes than the 5-lug. If this is true, then you'll have to change the backing plate, shoes, hardware, etc.
The bolt pattern is 4X100mm.....quite common. You shouldn't have any trouble finding wheels for that pattern as both Honda and VW used it for a long time as well as Mopar.
