Shadow is the guru when it comes to all this, I have so much to learn. pictures are one thing but the hands on training that I get with Shadow when it comes to some of the things on my car is precious. if it was not for Shadow building this Daytona I would be so lost and truth of it is I had blown two motors before I took my Daytona to Shadow.

This Daytona is not just mine anymore, the workmanship speaks for itself.

Where did you get those rear side window louvers? Those look awesome!

Also, the sound of the turbo and the way you shift, it sounds like a diesel pickup. Love it!
I manages to source them out locally for dirt cheap mind you they needed some repairs. I took some JB weld and repaired them but the louvers cracked at the top again so I'm pretty much back at the drawing board. I know these prices are a bit outrageous but you can find the exact ones I have on this web site

I managed to get my louvers and side louvers for 60$

Thanks for the offer , I have lots of Heads with the reg 4 grove ex. trying to come up with single grooves unit's for the 445 series head . running a ls1 valve train . so its proving difficult to find new valves for this application . Did u wrap the down pipe or does it stay cold enough up there ?

We didn't wrap the down pipe at all, there is not much room in there. all tho we are finding that this intake along with the holset on a 2.5L with a 4 inch open dump see's 21-22 psi for minimum boost, and 18-19 psi with a full 3 inch right to the back of the car. mind you with a half 3 inch exhaust dumping behind the seats 3rd gear see's 20-21 psi in 3rd gear at 4500 rpm and up and 4rth dear drops to 19 psi.

hopefully the avcr boot controller fixes this

So after a long and tedious break in on the motor finding several small things that needed to be tweaked. We finally made down to the track to see what the car could do on a very mild pump gas tune.

I'd like to thank first and foremost Shadow for the tremendous help with coaching me on how to stage properly and get my groove going !

I'm proud to say that I have now taken the Manitoba Daytona Shelby record that was held by another member of our turbo dodge team Luigi for 12 years at 13.1@ " " Hopefully Rob can shed some light on this part haha.

Ran 14.7 first run then I broke an axel "driver side" but after inspecting it a bit with Rob we saw it had a previous crack in it !. Shortly after we ran 13.7. After lunch I got into my groove a bit and finally wrapped off a 12.62! Couldn't be happier today !

Things that were done to the car for the runs today

19psi boost

Added a few gallons 110 to be safe

Low 7-8 degree base timing to be safe

10 - 10.8 AFR's to be safe.

6000rpm max to be safe

Against 35km/ hr headwind

Full bodied with race buckets
