I was putting an 89 shelby z motor in an 88 shelby z, just wondering if there are any differences in the wiring? I know the intakes , turbos were different.
Wasnt sure how different the wiring is. Thanks Tom

intakes are the same, the only difference with the turbos is that the 89 turbo has the larger 2.5" swingvalve(good thing) All the sensors on the 89 engine should plug right into the 88 harness, the only thing that I think you have to double check is the alternator sub harness and alternator.
As long as the 89 engine is the 2.2 TII motor, it will drop right in without any problems.

Thanks. Oh I thought the intakes were 2 piece for 88. Or was that 87 and older?
