Digital heater control question

i have an 88 lebaron gts, i and i was curious if a digital heater control would plug right into the existing heater control wire harness that is in the car right now.

No. The digital control has numerous vacuum systems under the dash that are computer controlled. The "basic" controls are all mechanical and vacuum controlled.

but would it be possible to make the switch if i wanted to. If so, what cars could i get the unit out of, that would fit in my car?

i just found out that there is a basic manual heater control unit that has a digital readout, which is what i am interested in. would this unit plug right into my existing wire harness, for the 88 lebaron gts.
