Hey all....I was wondering why I wasnt getting good heat so i went to check coolant. Funny thing was the fan was still running even tho the car was off. And I mean OFF...as in I had the key in my hand. Any ideas as to what the heck is going on? For now i just have it unplugged cause its 20 degrees outside anyway....just sucks if im sitting in traffic not going anywhere I get to watch the temp gauge go up and hope it doesnt go too far...Thanks for ideas.

plug it back in and hit the fan relay. Its probably stuck. If it shuts off then replace it.

Probably is the relay but mine actually started grounding out internally to the fan's metal case which would let it run. It didn't do it all the time but I could hit a bump and the fan would start running at around 3/4 speed and hit another bump and it would turn off.

Driver's side strut tower. There should be two or three small silver boxes mounted in that corner area mounted in the corner area near the master cylinder. If you have a/c, then it is the one in the middle. If not, it will be the relay nearest the fender, but not mounted on the fender.
