hey all,

a while back, i intended to use my dodge summer only, and track. so i didn't hook up the heater core. then i decided since i didn't have air either, i didn't need the climate control gimmick. so i put my radio there instead.

now it's kinda cold and my dodge gets better mileage than either of my slow vehicles, sooooooo, where could i put a switch to operate the fan and how can i rig the vacuum lines to blow hot?

if it matters, it's an 86 shelby charger.
thanks
tony

yeah, so poking around in the wires today i found the blower switch. evidently i left it on when i took the rest out. at any rate, it doesn't seem to do anything.

Is the blower resister still in the heater box? If it was removed or unplugged the blower won't work.

I don't know what components you have left but the resister needs to have air blowing on it when being used. Thats why its in the box.

If you can deal with just high blower you can jump the resistor and groung one of the blower wires.

as far as a heater control valve under the hood if yours has one is vacuum to it would either be full heat or no heat. No vacuum is the oposite. No vacuum inside the car should give you defrosters. I have run cars that way. The car will warm up your feet last but your window stays clear. Or if you don't want to run vacuum you can try moving the vacuum actuators under the dash until you find what you want then tie them off in that spot.
