I posted a month ago about my leaky Omni getting my LM wet. Well, after it got wet it started doing finnicky things. Battery wouldn't hold charge, stuff like this. So I put in my stock LM, and the car runs flawless. I'm wondering if my wet MP LM is junk now, or what can I do to fix it. Also, if anyone has one for sale, I'm looking to buy one. My unit was out of an '87 Charger I believe . . . part number P4532327 . . . It was, and the new one will be going into my bone stock '86 Omni . . .

Thanks,

Tony

Take a look at the pins where the wiring plugs into it. They should be a nice silver color if they're clean. If it got wet and is giving intermittant problems, there could be mold/mildew/oxidation buildup on the pins from the water getting into it. If they look green or powdery white, try cleaning them up and see what happens - a small wire brush (like a golf head cleaning brush) works well - just be gentle!
