I just bought a new Chrysler CD changer on Ebay. It comes with a cable to connect from the radio to the trunk but the cable DIN pins are a little different than what goes into the back of my stock radio. There must be another adapter or cable that I need to make the connection? HELP ???

jdawg might know he works for mopar and has sold a few radio changer setups. But I think you need a differant radio or changer to make it work. What year radio and changer are you trying to get to work together?

I'm putting together a system to go into an '88 Lebaron. The radio I bought fits a '94 - '01 Ram truck and most everything else in those years. It has the CD controler, the correct mounts, and radio connections for my Lebaron. The changer is a factory Chrysler dealer unit, new in the box, with a date of manufacture of July, 2000. The cable in the box has the DIN connector for the radio end with 7 pins in a circle plus a center one. They don't appear to be bent but are a little different than the back of the radio which also wants the 8 pins.

I now believe the pins were bent a little. A little adjustment and the connector plugged in the back of my radio just fine. The problem now is that the radio will not recognize the changer. I can hear the discs cycling but my radio only gives me AM or FM, no CD. It does have the CD controls. So my question is: Are there differences in the CD changers that would keep the radio from thinking a changer is connected?
