Wow! It's Chris Pace. Where have you been?

The black one is - and the green one is +.

I have been busy! LOL. Not much room for a Mustang guy on a SD board. One of my friends had a real nice original Shelby Charger. His mom actually bought it new in 86 and when he got old took it over. He babied it all its life and it was MINT MINT MINT! We did a T2 conversion on it about 6 years ago and it was a real nice street/strip SD. to make a long story short, he met this girl.... she is sucking him dry and he now hates cars. It all started with a surging idle and he had no time or patience to work on it. He stuffed it in a barn where squirrels lived in it, ate up some wires, vacuum lines etc. Full of scuffs, wheels are oxidized, brakes are rusted etc. It also looked like people were borrowing parts from it; many things were simply not there. His Mom phoned me and said she wants it back and wants to know if I can save it. I got it in my Garage right now. I worked on it a few days. I replaced the entire vacuum harness, new rubber fuel lines, replaced missing grounds wires etc. Last night at 8PM I got it started. It ran real good for a minute then the surging idle started. It was going from a near stall to 1500 rpm. I bought a new Coolant temp sensor and without even removing the old one just plugged it in. Started it back up, idled like a champ. Now I just have to tie everything up, polish the paint and get it back to here where she will drive it daily in good weather. I will get some pics soon. Brings back old memories this car, I still like my Cobra better though! Drag racing and RWD just fit the bill! LOL

PS. I went to this areas largest auto wreckers looking for odd parts for this SD. To my disbelief, I found not a single Turbo Dodge! I remember back in the day Shelby Chargers, Daytonas were a dime a dozen! Yikes, these parts are rerer than ever! What do you guys do for parts now? Im talking trim items, mouldings etc.

simply disconnet one wire and use a test light or multi meter. the wire that turns on the light or shows 12v on the meter is positive.
