just ran across your post, been a while since I worked with ford stuff,
but if memmory serves, + on coil is R/LG tracer , - is DG/Y tracer,
if its a standard "E" coil
continuous current on coil is 3-4 A, the single wire and connector should
be for a radio noise suppressor cap, mounted on the coil body.
