Hey guys,
Rear defrost and rear wiper hasnt worked on my daytona for well over a year now. I have decided to do something about it.
Fuses are all ok, checked with multimeter
Switch Illuminates and I tested the wires to it and they seem to all be ok.
The problem appears to be a bad ground as both the defrost and the wiper stopped working at the same time, does anybody know where the hatch ground is on an 89 daytona? Or the connector for the wire bundle?

Or does anybody at least have a wiring diagram for the hatch electronics on an 89 daytona or similar?

There appears to be a ground connection on the liftgate. It's to the drivers side of the wiper motor.

The liftgate harness travels down behind the left quarter trim panel.

The books were still in a box from when I moved a few years ago but I found them.

I have the full (set of 3) 1989 factory service manuals: Engine, Chassis and Body, Electrical, Fuel and Emissions, and Wiring diagrams.

They are in excellent shape. Clean. No tears.

pm me if you are interested.
