Sorry for the long post and I think you have a different version dash, not teh one pictured in the link. I got my pinouts from the local library, they have service manuals online through a program called ??? somthing mitchell??

I forgot, but anyway you could try to look different cars/years up and see which one had those colored connectors

I used this diagram for my 87 dash:

And I checked over all those pinouts and they match your 87 diagram exactly.

My dash is the same as the one pictured, Daytonas only came with that digital dash.

This is all I can get my dash to do:

But I'm thinking now, that maybe I just have the two connectors mixed up. I can't think of anything else that could be wrong. The way you listed is exactly how I wired mine in. And I have nothing to twist the wires around to, and soldering them is actually really quick. I'll post a few pics of how I'm wiring it in later today.

Is wiring in the door switch crucial to the functioning of the dash? If all it does is just display a light on the dash, then I'd just not bother.

Thanks a LOT for the quick responses, and I'll get back to you later today with my progress, I'm gonna switch the two plugs around and see what happens. That can't mess things up, can it?

the door switch isnt really neccesary.. all it does is "wake up" the dash when you open the driver's door... it would look similar to what you got there, but mine only lights up the top half.. if yours doesnt do the bulb check, then i'd say it's toast.. someone has a clip of it on you tube, search for lebaron digital dash and you'll see what i mean..

Well... turns out, I need to learn how to read wiring diagrams. I just had the image in my head mixed up. So yeah, the plugs were switched and "mirrored." Luckily I didn't fry anything. Point is, it looks KICKA**!!! And the half circle layout of the gauges actually matches the half circle shape of the dash! So far, its just a "prototype" fit. I need to reinforce it just a little more. I hotglued it to the 90+ frame. It fits pretty well, the only issue I had, was my sloppy wiring of the plugs, and it was a bit of a challenge to move all the wires and plugs into the right places to make the dash fit just right.

I just have to get maybe 20% tint at autozone for like $10 and tint my cover, cuz right now my face literally glows green at night

Here are the progress pics, I'm gonna try writing up a tutorial on this, so others may enjoy the pleasures of the digital world

(sorry if they're a little too big)

Sorry for the low quality pics (taken with my phone).

speeduphoria, thank you soooo much for all the help. I really appreciate it! Thanks guys!

One question, the power loss light turned on after a few min, and kept oddly/randomly flashing, and then just stayed on. I connected it to the "malfunction indicator light" which are both the same wire color. Why is it on now? I'll see how it'll be in the morning, maybe it'll stop.

Not to be a jerk, but why would you go though that much effort for no gain? and A square peg in a round hole just never looks right anyways.

Told you we'd get it working

Sometimes it just takes just getting away from it for a couple minutes, and thinking it through. Glad to hear it's working out.

Now for the "Power Loss" light. Are you meaning that when your driving with the car, engine running the light comes on after a couple minutes? Or do you just mean with the ign. on? The "Power Loss" light basically means your electrical system has a problem, BUT this is only when you car alternator/charging system is running to keep up the voltage. If you are just trying it with the ign on, then yes the light will come on very shortly.

NO GAIN??? My god, I love this thing. Totally worth the measley $30 I spent on it. And just because the circuit board is square, you say its a square peg in a round hole? The display matches the shape of the dash magnificantly. But each person has his own tastes I guess.

90Acclaim and speeduphoria, thank you so much for the devotion and all the help.

And yeah, the power loss light turns on when in ignition, but I was talking about with the car on. And today when I drove it, it only flashed a few times and then stopped, this is also the case with the brake warning light. I'm beginning to realize that something is going wrong. I think I put a little too much solder on some of the pins and they're coming into contact with neighboring pins. Today, halfway to work, my tach began going wild, it was displaying the RPM, but would flash to 8K RPM constantly and randomly. So I'm just going to go over everything. But funny thing, after work, it was working perfectly. The only thing was that the brake light flashed a few times. Its still a work in progress

"power loss" was chrylser's early version of "check engine" i think they changed it in 89.. its the same thing though. you might've activated the self diagnostic feature built in to chryslers... if you kept turning the key on and off radidly, i think about 3 times on and 2 times off, leaving it on the 3rd time, then the "power loss" light (check engine) will start flashing trouble codes from the engine computer... seeing as this dash has a cool looking "bulb check" when it first comes on, you more than likely watched it a few times, just for kicks! i know i did.

hahaha, exactly

I knew the power loss light replaced the check engine because that's the wire I connected that light to. Same color wire too, ha. That's probably what happen, I'm gonna see how it acts for a few days and get back to you. Thanks
