I'll look into it, but to me it seems that the sound is coming from that direction.

Who, me? I'm in Finland.
Btw, i fixed the 2 door switches that were broken and the "ding" was there still for one drive. Next time i drove the car it was gone.. Weird..
Now it has been gone for few days already.

maybe it was a delayed repair? Hope it doesn't come back. There are guys over here that would love to get the glass headlights the saratoga has. There is a thread in the parts wanted section looking for some now.

Is your turn signal on when you hear the ding?

My '93 Daytona (I've had it about a year and a half) will ding at me if I put the right or left turn signal on and forget about it. The ding happens to me when I'm on the highway and change lanes prior to an exit that may be some mile up. There is a timer on some cars that will make a ding if the turn signal is on too long without resetting the turn signal lever. The ding is similar to the ding you hear when the windshield washer fluid is low.

I think Chrysler added "ding" to keep "Blue hairs" from having that constant turn signal flashing during long trips. My '99 Town and Country has the same option, it drove me nuts when I first heard it. Thinking something is wrong with the van. I talked to dealer and they couldn't figure it out either. I finally figured out it mostly happened to me on highway slowing vehicle down just as I was taking an exit.

Hope this helps.

Ron

How much Blue hair is in your family?

Check out the connection where the body harness plugs into the top of the BCM in the passenger side kick panel. On my '93, water somehow runs down the harness and collects inside the connector on the BCM, shorting out the pins and causing random chiming, door ajar lights, power door lock activation, etc.
