Pull a speaker out and see how many wires it has. the harness might have the 4 wires the infinity system uses but see how many the speaker uses 2 or 4. If the speaker does have 4 two are for the sound and 2 are just 12v+ and a 12v-. The 12v- should be there all the time the 12v+ is turned on by a relay the radio turns on. The radio uses what would be the power antenna wire to turn on the relay. I have no clue where the relay is on a car but the mini vans hid them in the dash away from the regular relay panels. I know on my vans if it is quite enough you can here it click when you turn on the radio. Also check your fuses I have a 92 and a 93 daytona one has the infinity and one doesn't the one that does have it does have one more fuse in the dash fuse box then the other.
Forgot to answer one of your questions if it uses amps they are on the speakers. That is why it would have 4 wires.

is the power antenna stock? I would think it could share the duty. But if someone put in the antenna they may have cut the wire the relay needs for their antenna. The relay needs a 12v+ to turn on so it just makes sence for the factory to use the antenna wire since it is a 12v+ power out only when the radio is on so they used it. Have you checked your speakers for how many wires the speaker uses? Or checked the fuses in the fuse box? check for missing ones too. Some people will have you believe the infinity systems head unit has no amp so if you change the speakers nothing will play. This is false. You can pop an infinity head unit in a car with out and infinity speaker system and it will play fine (I have done this) you can also replace the speakers of an infinity system with regular speakers and it will play fine too (I have done this too). In fact a nice set of aftermarket speakers sound even better then the infinity speakers. Just don't go watt happy no factory radio can power high watt speakers. I replaced 4 of the 6 speakers in my town and country with some nice JBL's and it sounds great.

Is the Stereo a factory unit of an after market Stereo? The wire set up on the factory wire harness powers the power antenna and Amplifier.

I had similar problem when I installed after market Pioneer unit, and found out if the car has "Chrysler Infinity" audio system you need to energize the amp.

I used "Scosche CR012" harness that you can find at Walmart car stereo department for under $10 bucks. There is a note on the package (top center) that tells you to connect Blue wire on the CR012 harness to the Blue/White (amp remote or power antenna) wire of the stereo.

Without this hooked up properly it sounds like you just have low tweeter sound out of the speakers.

Hope this helps.
