93 Shadow ES The blower switch melted a little and needs to be replaced. It has 6 pins at 90 degrees and a bracket spot welded to it. Aftermarket has a switch that wont work ( 5 pin and no way of attaching it), Dodge has the complete controler for $150. I wont have time for a salvage yard run for 2 weeks. Are there any other options?

That is very common that the blower switch is not replaceable on Mopar control units.
Most Mopar blower switch's control ground, power is constant to the blower resistor and bypass's the resistor for "High".If this is the case you should be able to put a toggle switch on the ground side and get 1 blower speed to work until you can get the correct part.
Be sure your connector did not melt,if it did grab the pigtail at the yard when you go.

I took the switch apart and cleaned some of the plastic out of it. It works on every speed except high. It should buy me some time.

if you got it to work on all speeds but high you can use a toggle switch to add it back in. High speed is what does most of the damage to the switches. The blowers get 12v+ straight to the motor and the switch just sends a ground to differant terminals of the resister for all the lower speeds. So the current through the switch increases as blower speed increases. High speed basicly bypasses the resister and gives the motor a full 12 volt. You can either cut the high speed wire off the switch and run it to one terminal of a toggle switch and a ground wire to the other terminal or tap the wire right onto the blower motor harness at the blower motor.

The medium-high is the one that melted. And the connector is fine. I had entertained the idea of wiring in a old headlight switch from an 70's truck and using the dimming function to run the fan.
But most likely, I will use some relays to take the load off of the switch.

mid to late 80's dodge full size vans melted the blower switch and fuse in the fuse box all the time. That switch ran the 12v+ through it instead of a ground like your car. They made a relay kit to stop the switches from burning up. The idea with some changes would work on your car. You would only need 1 relay to take high blow out of the switch.

If I have it figured right, with three relays, I can take all of the load off of the switch. I just need a good switch.
