I was just wondering if anyone with a 1990 or newer daytona has a slow oil pressure gauge. I,ve until recently only owned many pre 90 tonas and all my in cars oil pressure gauges built pressure fast. I now have a 1990 shelby tona and the dash gauge takes about 10 sceonds to make good oil pressure, as soon as the car fires it starts moving but its real slow.

Theres no oil leaks anywhere and this is the smoothest and quietest 2.2 i,ve ever heard run.

With the key on ground the signal line at the sending unit connector and the gauge should move to the high side in a normal manner, if it does not the problem is in the gauge/cluster, if it does replace the sending unit and be sure the port is not restricted from sludge.
Also if you are using a conventional oil in extremly cold weather that could be a problem.
