88 engine to 94 car

I've got a wrecked 1988 dodge aires w/T1 and am looking to get a 94 shadow w/busted 3.0L (at scrap prices mind u) to put my engine in. if I plug the connector behind the left strut tower into the 94 shadow's plug (assuming it does???) will anything in the car go apesh*t? Basically I'm asking for a better idea of what I'm getting into and if an 89 computer dislikes seeing a 94 body computer.
Is it easier to overcome problems inherent in doing this or to simply go to the junkyard and gut the dash of an 88 shadow?

I don't think theres are reverse compatability there.

94 would be SBECII and I don't thing it interchanges with anything.

If anything at all, you would need to swap the whole harness over from the Aries.

It wouldn't be plug and play at all. You will need wiring diagrams from each car and splice the engine harnesses together.

if I could gut the in car wiring from an 88 or 89 shadow and put them in the 94 car would everything wire up, or should I go on ahead and pull the dash from a junkyard shadow too? I wish I could use the wiring harness from my wagon, but I can't see it fitting.
