Need help how to reset factory alarm

Just bought a 90 Shelby Daytona and i need help on how to reset the factory alarm. I disconnected the battery and when i hook it back up the hazards blink and the alarm light flashes. I heard you have to put the key in the passenger door and turn it forward, back and forward and that should reset the alarm. I've tried this multiple ways and i still can't get it to reset. Does any one know how to disable this feature or know how to reset it. Until then i can't start my car. This is the strangest thing I've heard of. Please help!!

on my 1992 you shut the door and turn the key in the door and the alarm flashing stops.

yeah and some of the dodges, jeeps the drivers door or hatch will disable it.

Glad that you got it going. In case you are interested in just how it works and how to diagnoise problems with the factory alarm, here is the instructions from the FSM.
