getting code 11 and car has power ?

car will not turn over ,start or make a solenoid noise ??? getting the code 11 for reference signal ? i checked the harness for short or ground ? i tested harness from computer i had 9.4 and 5 volts where i should so computer is ok but i think i need a dual hall effect pickup ??? should i go get one i checked the asd relay too and its fine ?? could it be the neutral swithc or is it the distributor ? thanks paul m.

if the battery has been disconnected and the engine will not spin when you try to start it a code 11 will set. Don't worry about it unless you get the engine to spin over and it is still there and won't start. code 11 means the computer has NEVER seen a HEP signal. once the engine spins and the computer sees it the computer will erase it and never set it again unless the battery is disconnected again and does not see it.

If you turn the key and have no crank start with basics, is the battery fully charged and able to hold a load, are the cables tight and free of corrosion, is there power to the starter, should be constant 12 volts from Batt+ and 12 volts on the solenoid terminal with the key in the start position. If no power at the solenoid terminal check the starter relay,2 power feeds, 1 constant, 1 from ignition switch with the key in the start position, 1 output to starter and a ground which is thru the neutral switch on an auto trans.
