i just got my 89 daytona es turbo today and the guy said the pop-up headlights work intermittently, well.. i cant get them to work at all when i pull the switch out. they light up, but they wont pop up or down. I have them up so i can use them i used the emergency thing to get them up, anyways.. is this a common problem, anyplace i need to look ?

also.. my trip computer it shows the date and time and all that but when i try use any of the buttons for a different setting it doesnt do anything, does that mean its shot ?? thanks.. Phil

The headlamp problem is more than likely the headlamp relay module. It is located under the center dash speaker.
There was a thread on repairing them, not sure where it is located.

NAJ listed the location. Pop the dash cover off and its under where the center speaker would go.

On the 89-94 you need to remove the panel under the steering wheel, like 4 or so philips screws, from there look up on the left side of the steering column, its a black box that is about 3x5 and is just held on by a clip. It has only one connector running to it. Most people find another box that is black and small like 3x2 which is not the one you want. The HRM is wayyy back there so you might want to get your head down there to look for it.

On my 90 it is under the dash. I checked Alldata for the location on your 89 and they showed it up top in the center, that is why i posted that so if they are wrong let me know so I do not post wrong info.
